Mickels' Tourist Estate

Near one of Gotland's beautiful beaches, just outside the small village När and within walking distance to the golf course you will find Mickel's tourist estate, a recently renovated, comfortably equipped ex-farm, where you can stay on vacation. Enjoy you holidays in a gloriously calm and rural environment, among beautiful nature areas perfectly made for bicycle trips and picnics, yet within a short car trip to Visby. Rent a cottage for your whole company, or one of the estate's comfortable flats with modern conveniences, sized between 35 and 110 square metres.

Mickel's estate is found around a large open lawn where you can sun and grill, with recently renovated flats in the ex-stable, with walls made of Gotland limestone, two red "ginger bread" houses, one white small wooden villa, one main building in typical Gotland style surrounded by lilac bushes and pastures. The estate was from the beginning a farm, belonging to a riding-school in Stockholm (having up to 100 horses!). It was then rebuilt to a youth hostel and country club.

Mickel is found just some hundred meters from the 18-holes golf course of När. Play the trixy holes in the "horse pasture", try to provincial variant "koxgolf" or enjoy a great dinner at the excellent golf restaurant. Two other good golf courses are also found in the nearby.

We, two summer residents in Gotland, bought the farm in spring 2007 and now we have renovated it, with larger, airier and more confortable flats. We love this area and we also stay here in the summers - two children, our yorkshire terrier Nikki, the horses Riim and Oliver, and a flock of hens.

Vita Villan

"The white villa"

A wooden villa with 60 square metres in two floors. In the lower floor there is kitchen, bathroom and living room. In the upper floor there are two bedrooms, each of them having two beds, 90 cms wide. Slanting roof. A house by its own, suitable for the small family.

Acke och Elsa

"Acke and Elsa"

The flat has a unique height to the ceiling, which is used for a bed loft. From the balcony towards sunset you glance over pastures with cows and horses.

Built from six consolidated rooms from the times of the hotel/youth hostel. Roomy flat with an airy open design and two bed lofts. 80 square metres plus a large balcony/veranda. In the one loft there is a 180 cms wide double bed which can be separated into two beds. In the other loft there are two 90 cms wide beds.

Stallet

Our most luxurious flat, 110 square metres large, partially with tall ceiling, located inside the recently renovatd stable made of Gotland limestone. Two bedrooms, the one with a four-poster bed, 180 cms wide. The other one having two beds 120 cms wide. Plenty of company space and a pool table.

Both the living room and the bedroom with four-poster bed have big sliding glass doors towards the patio and the horse pasture. In the large living room there is a billiard table.

Drängen

"The farmhand"

A flat of around 40 square metres in two floors in a traditional redpainted house with white corners. At the lower floor there is a small kitchen, bathroom and living room. The bedroom with balcony is found in the upper floor. In the bedroom there are two beds 105 cms wide.

Perfect accomodation for the golf-playing couple. After today's round you can sit on the balcony with a cold drick and analyze the round. "Is the juniper's branches really able to catch the ball?". After relax and a fresh shower it's time for a short walk to the golf course restaurant for a nice dinner.

Pigan

"The maid"

A flat of 42 square metres shared on two floors in a traditional redpainted house with white corners. On the bottom floor there is a small kitchen, bathroom and living room. The bedroom is found in the upper floor. There you find two beds 105 cms wide and an armchair which can be switched into a bed. A roof window and a beautiful gable window gives a nice light in the upper floor. The old storeroom stairway is steep.

Wilhelms

The cottage is named after a farmer Wilhelm, who owned the farm before it was turned into a riding school. 80 square metres large flat in two floors. A traditional "bakery cottage" in direct connection to the main building of the estate.

An own entrance separated from the rest of the house. Bedroom, kitchen and bathroom in the lower floor. In the upper floor an open design with a bedroom part and a living room part. Two beds 120 cms wide which can be put together to a gigantic double bed. One or two children stay well in the lower floor's bedroom.
